I was a bit sceptical about the blurb for the product - it all seemed a bit "hyped", but hats off to Crysonic...it's a nice enhancer. Didn't take me long to get my wallet out.
It doesn't use harmonic addition (which is what made me try it out) - I just don't like adding stuff to a mix I might have spent 2 weeks fine-tuning. Seems like it's mainly phase correction, but I'm sure there are a whole heap of other processes going on too.
What really made me buy in when I heard it was the fact that it's so flexible. I can see me using it on channels, groups and even for tracking. There are quite a few algorithms - some of which sound like there's a lot of Eq going on in the mids, but also other stuff - and some of them cry out for slapping over a drum group - emphasises the bands that drums sit in, but increase clarity several-fold. And the bass section's not half bad too. I was very pleasantly surprised by how it brought the drums forward even in a thick mix.
I use a BBE h/w unit.....it's a different sound from Spectralive, but SL easily competes with it, and does a whole lot more besides mastering shine. I can even see me packing away my BBE possibly.
And it's a steal for the price. It reminds me of the main h/w enhancers in some aspects (Aphex etc) but without that nasty harshness you get from the harmonics - it's smoooooooooooth by comparison.
Anyway - probably you all know about it already

(Just been and double checked - it's only $30 full price FFS! This has to be my plugin of the year so far)
