Anyone doing this? I have a 5200 nvidia currently where I can add the second monitor, but I don't see any documentation on the "how to" for having like the edit window on one/mix window on the other....etc etc.
It's not a biggie, just trying to find the how to before I even buy and try the second monitor.
thanks a bunch.....

Your sequencer will maximise to fit both screens when running them in horizontal span mode (windows setting.) However, most sequencers don't let you move objects outside the window, so it will take some practice with arrangment to get used to.
I highly recommend a second monitor for anybody doing computer music production. Even though you are only doubling your screen width, it more than doubles the amount of length of viewable tracks as they are typically seated horizontally.
"How to" is simple. Plug it in, change your resolution to 'horizontal span' in windows, and enjoy!

Like he said dual monitors are set up in your Windows Display control panel not your application software. However, you can only go side to side or top and bottom layouts. So in the app. it is a matter of how you save your window placement. I to agree dual monitors is a must in music I run three for my main system. Works great!!!!

yea, I'm psyched.
Like this nvidia desktop manager is going to be the thing to set up I guess, once another monitor is "found" it will ask how I want it set up etc etc.....nothing to do with protools I'm gathering.
