What if you DONT 'save' Wusik?

I dont want this to get deleted by WilliamK, since I think its important.
William has said if he gets 200 preorders for Wusik 2, he'll be able to keep going.
Which means that if he doesnt get 200 pre-orders, he wont.
He's also said he can't give any refunds to people who paid for other stuff in advance, such as the abandoned drum machine preorder, and the more recent prepay-for-the-next Wusikstation thing that already happened.
So what guarantees is William prepared to make to repay people this time if he doesnt reach that target of 200 people?

You beating this drum again, rabbyt?
You should know that a guarantee isn't worth jack
And there's no point in being righteous about it unless you like the noise it makes

Why would he be allowed to do business here on kvr if he's already ripped people off? That is, if I'm reading your post correctly.whyterabbyt wrote:I dont want this to get deleted by WilliamK, since I think its important.

Im asking on behalf of other people who might not have considered what might happen.
Why? Do you think my question has some other purpose?

With that track record, I'd only pay him for what he's already done, no way I'd pay for what he plans to do.

That's irelevant. it is a logical question.kodama wrote:Do you ask because you are considering prebuying V2, or are you just a concerned kvr citizen with 4974 posts?

BTW, is this going to make wusikstation cheaper, or just unavaliable, or neither?

I think something along these lines would help -
It may help a lot if you made some sort of promise that anyone who pre orders now will be given the equivalent money discount on any future upgrades if you decide to sell before its done, by the buying company, and make this part of the contract of any sale. I think this would greatly increase your chances of getting the number of pre orders you want.

he's obviously not going to refund the v1.2 prepayers, he stated that:whyterabbyt wrote: So what guarantees is William prepared to make to repay people this time if he doesnt reach that target of 200 people?
so no refund, I personally would be very cautious before I threw more good money after bad.WilliamK wrote: For those who ordered V1.2.0 a while ago, you need to pay the 29.95 USD/CAD
Kinda double or nothing for these guys, either you lose your $30, or you take a gamble pay another $30 & potentially lose that, or maybe he'll change his mind again.
I don't know the guy, but have followed his story, asking for faith & prepays, I would be scared of a possible bankruptcy, at the same time as feeling the urge to support a guy who has created a very good product.
I know this is gonna sound kinda nasty, but it brings to mind DCstudios.
And maybe some would say this is none of my business, as I don't own wusikstation, but I was considering it for a future purchase due to the excellent feedback I have read here & elsewhere.

As discussed on another thread - what WilliamK is doing is a classic bait and switch and perhaps fraudulent to boot. I trust that he's not intending to do this but that's the result of his position. As one of the one's who paid up-front for 1.2, I have to chalk this up to my faith and willingness to trust him based upon past performance and my wanting to support him during a bad time. I will not do so again. Very sad.

kevvvvv quoth You beating this drum again, rabbyt?
Why dont you say exactly what you're trying to insinuate, Kevvvvv?
I want to know whether even more people at KVR are going to lose money to yet another developer with 'issues'. If that's a problem for you, tough shit. I happen to think it matters. If you don't, why don't you just say so.
Dead simple. I'll even give yu the words, if you're too damn lazy.
"I, Kevin Rossiter, KVR moderator, dont care if a developer with a forum hosted here might take money off people at KVR and then not deliver the goods."
Can you manage that, or would you prefer to just ponce about ignoring the issue?
You should know that a guarantee isn't worth jack
If it came from you it certainly wouldnt.
And there's no point in being righteous about it unless you like the noise it makes
Nice to see a moderator bury his head in the sand over KVR people potentially losing money.
