i am running the waves plugin bundle with cubase sx 2 as my host. i initially had a direct x version installed but later for the purpose of automating the plugins i installed the waveshell.dll in the plugins directory of cubase. however since doing this a strange problem has been occuring. for example i used a supertap 6 effect on an FX channel and routed a guitar track to it. however when i close the file and reopen it, I find that no signal is going to the delay unit. it is only after i re insert the effect on the fx channel track, does the signal start getting its delay. however if i reopen the session i am again faced with the same prob. not sure if the waveshell.dll has got anything to do with it! hey anybody faced similar problem before.. any kind of info and help will be much appreciated....

not many have this problem because not many can afford waves plugins.
Hell if i had the money for a wave's bundle i'd rather buy 1 powercore MK2 , 2 UAD-1 DSP cards and still have money left for a good drink.
sorry i was no help.
