Someone [Andrew Duke] uploaded 20 diff sample packages at Kontakt 2 Library...now there are gone <poof>

Anyone know the story?

Yeah, I do- he'd uploaded them to the Reaktor, Kontakt and Absynth libraries. A couple people in the forum made an issue of them clogging up the newest additions, and he pulled them down in a fit of anger.

The library really needs a dedicated sample section; that way, multiple uploads like Andrew's will be accessible by anyone who can access any of the libraries that use samples, instead of being uploaded to each user library.

it makes sense to upload to all 3 bc some people only have 1 of the programs and therefor access to only one of the libraries...not everyone has komplete

That's why the dedicated sample section that would be common to all makes sense. Instead, now if you uploaded as much content as Andrew did, you'd be using 300 MB to the server. Yeah, NI probably has the capacity and the bandwidth, but it's still a waste.

Hi, Meeks.
Yes, it would be better if NI made the uploading easier and more convenient for all involved. Some people on the forums at NI thought I was spamming with all the uploads
when I was merely trying to make it easier for people. Anyway, links to the only stuff I have available online right now are below; Recently, I've done 100 perc loops for Fxpansion's GURU that will be available soon, and in August-ish Equinox Sounds will have a new sample CD out that will feature some of my work. Some of the new Sound Ideas CDs (not sure if they are out yet) will feature some of my stuff. Still doing stuff for the monthly cover DVD that comes with Computer Music magazine. Audiobase contest coming up that will feature 20 free samples from my Sonic Atmospheres 1--Chain Reaction samplepack on Audiobase.com, and a contest coming up in the next week re: my Consumer vs. User album on Phthalo that will feature a ton of free-to-download samples. But for now, the following are available:

This downloadable samplepack contains 606 files (450 loops plus 156 hits) of exclusive
FX material in your choice of WAV or Apple Loops format (both at 24bit 48kHz).

Thanks for your interest in my sound-designin'.

Jeez, that was a year ago...it seemed liked yesterday (goes to show that the older you get time seems to speed up).

Thanks, Andrew!

Hi, Meeks.
Funny thing is is that you started the thread on June 1, 2005 and I just noticed
it June 14, 2006! I gotta read the forum more often, eh?! :)

Samples from Consumer vs. User for the remix contest should be online within the next
12-16 hours: http://andrew-duke.com
