New member requesting advise...

Hi chaps...and chapesses if any
I've just downloaded FLStudio Producer Edition and i just wondered if you could advise me on my choice of set-up.
I have a P4 2.4Gig comp with 128MB mem, sound is currently provided by a Audigy2 with the Creative 5.1 speaker system.
I am, at the moment, awaiting the delivery of a Evolution MK 449C controller and a Shure SM58 mic.
After buying these items, i am very low on coins so, i am considering buying a E-mu 0404 sound card as a upgrade from the Audigy but, after reading the thread on the forums regarding drivers for this card, i'm a bit reluctant to buy it.
Could you advise on what card would suit my set-up that'll be in the same price bracket as the E-MU card?
Any advise on my choice of hardware/software would be greatfully received.

not sure how much the emu card is, but the maudio 2496 has greatly reduced in price lately. It's what I use and a great many others here.

Welcome to KVR
First thing you need is more RAM- 128 MB isn't hardly going to run XP, much less anything else running at the same time. Go to at least 512 MB, if not 1GB.

I have 512 and, as soon as i get the cash, i'm gonna get me another 512.
