Since you have been many to answer our poll about colors in GUI (here), we have listened to your advice and explored a new direction for our GUIs. (BTW thabks for your time and ideas!)
What do you think about this new GUI for our Widening Parametr'EQ? Any suggestion?

I'm sure someone will comment on the slider colors... I like this combination better than the earlier only red or green GUI's...

I think the reased edges on the "Side" / "mid" sections look a little cheap. I like the solution with shadows of the original design better.
I also think you should loose the Italics on the "L" and the "R" on the pan control.

I do agree, but it's not easy to make keep compact and keep it clear. My priority is clarity and ease of use.

well the old one looks better in terms of layout, logo and stuff like that.... the new one is easier on the eyes but far from perfect.... If you just take the original and exchange the colors with the new one and maybe get right of the humanskin color (and make it more redish) you would have a nice GUI

Mmmh Layout did not changed that much...

That was the initial goal.

but far from perfect....

Nobody's perfect, and no GUI either

tbh I don't like any of them - imo they're neither fish nor flesh - they seem to emulate a kind of hardware-style but do a very poor job at it. They're not even slightly realistic despite all the 3d stuff.

However I like the new colour layout much more than the original one!

antialiasing. need code? wait. if you use vstgui nevermind..
it would probably be mega-slow using gdi setpixel..

ignore this completely, as your design is your own design

i feel the sliders are way too wide, and the boxy look doesn't appeal to my eyes even remotely. that sounds very harsh i know, but i feel like i'm looking at an early windows 95 program looking at the screenshot. and there is so much wasted space there, i can't imagine ever wanting to load it up.
