Wavelab 5 problem! help

Hi,
Im having a problem with the detection of CD-ROM drive in Wavelab 5. In the <Tools<Import Audio CD tracks menu, it doesnt seem to detect any inserted Audio CD. however explorer is able to, im using WinXP pro os.
Im using a Sony dual layer DVD Writer, and I have two hard discs, where Ive installed all audio appli on one of them ( d: ), which is different from that of the OS ( c: ). I dont think the problem it due to this, coz i tried installing wavelab on the other drive as well.
What could be the problem!!? help is much appreciated...thanx in advance.

Have you tried downloading and installing the recorder update from the Steinberg web site :?:
Could also be an asapi issue :?:
