Are all the drum loops in SS2/ST2 dance/trance oriented ?

I never considered drum loops as a serious proposition before but I must say its interesting to listen to them and they just might be a time-saver.

But they do all seem to be heavily oriented toward hip-hop/trance and other contemporary 'dance' styles I know nothing about (being the aged rocker that I am!)

Seeing as how SS2 and ST2 are to be considered 'workstations' I figured they might have catered for other styles of music in this area too. I recognise the difficulty here with drum loops as the requirements to satisfy all musical styles would be quite huge I suppose.

So if anyone finds a good loop on an acoustic kit suitable for rock music - I'd like to know where it is in SS2/ST2. Otherwise I guess I'll just have to program my own :-o

:D

There are some acoustic drum loops in SS2, in the Elements section. I'm not sure if there are any in ST2, but I'm not near my music computer at the moment.

Get the Groove Capsule. It has loops of all styles from rock to funk to hip hop to dance styles to weird stuff to country to jazz to latin... ;) It's a cool grab of variety.

Then we are releasing a new series of artist grooves from people like Danny Gottlieb (from the original Pat Metheny Group), John Blackwell (Prince's drummer) and more. In fact, pretty soon I am going to show clips from those sessions which are just fascinating to see. Those two are some of the best drummers on the planet.

We also have a title of just rock loops coming as well and a bunch of loops in pretty much every style.

Just rock loops would be nice. I'll check it out when available. Thanks Squids.
