doe anyone know any other delay effects where
the delay time is controlled by a midi note like

Jonas Norberg PlayDelay

which i cant get to work

Yes. There is one:
Jonas Norberg PlayDelay. But it dosnt seem to work.

what host are you using it in? (FL perhaps?)

well i wus using cubase and minihost- ill try downloading it again and see wot happens then- its a kule idea though i think-

chroma delay by 12thfloor but where u can trigger the note by midi then we'd be cooking with gas

That's a good idea indeed, I can make it on SE, can you guys post your ideas about this? how many bands, what to control exactly and how to, in which manner.

Not that you couldn't connect MIDI keyboard to any parameter via automation, directly or using one of those MIDI CC VSTs, but one delay made specially for this purpose could be a good tool in conjunction with any VSTi
