Orchestral sounds in SS2

Hi. I'm buying SS2 this week and wanted to know about its orchestral strings patches. Solo instruments and ensembles. How do they sound ? I will buy Philharmonik when its available but wanted to know what i will get with SS2 for the time being.
Do u feel the string sounds can be compared to the ones that come on Yamaha and Roland hardware workstations ?

The orchestral sounds in SS2 are on par with modern workstations, and the mixed orchestral textures are even better. It won't replace a dedicated orchestral library though - that's what Philharmonik is for!

I agree. The orchestral sounds in Sonik Synth 2 are surprisingly nice for a general all around synth module. But, Miroslav Philharmonik does so much more in that category (as one would expect). They ARE different orchestral sounds though so they may blend nicely. I haven't done much of that yet but I plan to! How cool would it be to have ST2 combis that mix SS2 and Philharmonik sounds with the XL sounds? That's something we can share here I think for fun. Of course only those that own those three products could really benefit but I think a lot of people who visit this forum will. (for good reason)
