Ok, here's my simple question to anyone who might know anything about it; is it possible to make a multi-track (>2 channels) in Cubasis VST 4? I've upgraded from a Audiophile 2496 to a Delta 1010 LT soundcard to be able to have 8 (10) inputs for live recordings together with a soundcraft mixer. When I run Cubasis it only seems to recognise the first two channels (L/R) "and the rest i silence". Enabeling the other channels doesn't help a bit. If anoyone has any suggestions or experiences in the matter pliiiiiis help me! We're supposed to start recording in one week... :-o

May the shorts be with you!

I couldn't get multi-track recording to happen on Cubase VST 4. Cubased VST 4, it works but very old now. In Vst inputs, you can assign the input to the channel your recording. In audio system setup, there should be a number of assio devices which will effect whats in your Vst input?

Try a Traction demo, you will find that all of your inputs from your soundcard should be displayed, and be easy to assign to a track for multi-track recording.

Well that's kind of a downer!! I've chosen the M-Audio ASIO2 device which doesn't do a thing. I'm working far away from home right now, so I can't play around with the settings. Think I'll have a go with the Traction solution until I've kicked some Cubasis ass! Know a good place to download from?

Thanks!

They were giving a way a Traction 1 NRF, few months ago. The new vesion Traction 2, may have to be regesitered(buy) to unlock it from demo state, which may emit some noice ect, or order the box?. I only had to upgrade, so I don't know what the deal is now. Make sure you download the manual too. Whith my Audigy card I can assign all inputs for multitrack recording.
