I've been working on a chromatic harmonica soundfont using Seamless Looper to find suitable loop points and to crossfade when needed. When I open the individual .wav files in FLStudio, Vienna, or in SoundForge, the loops sound perfect.
So I layered them all in Vienna and created a soundfont. Now when I play the soundfont there are very loud clicks on all the loop points. I've tried loading the soundfont using sfz, BS-1 and the FL Soundfont Player, and the clicks are there all the time. I've used both Chainer and FLStudio as hosts, no difference.
I tried removing any DC offset and resetting all the loop points, no luck. I tried more drastic crossfading, still no luck. I noticed that Vienna was misreading the second loop point that was set in Seamless Looper by 1 sample (a loop point that was set in Seamless Looper to 32,500 would show up in Vienna as 32,501) so I reset the loop points inside Vienna to match Seamless Looper, and still the clicks are there.
I can't reason why a .wav file that loops perfectly when played by itself would click so badly once compiled into a soundfont.
I'm out of ideas. Has anyone else run into this? Any suggestions?

I've noticed the same thing when trying Vienna and Alive to create soundfonts. I don't have an explanation why it happens, but its really annoying.
The 2 most reliable apps for editing/creating SF2's for me have been Awave and ESC ( which also has the best loop point editor and replaced Seamless Looper for me).
