Hey just a wee problem this time. How can I get down loaded vst's into cubase? I have tried downloading them to my documents however cannot open them when they are complete.

And does anyone know of any good free piano?

Post

put 'em in your plugins folder wherever that may be.

look for a free sampled one and use it in some free sampler, like SFZ or zvon's.

Good chance that your plugin folder in located in C:\Programs Files\Steinberg\VstPlugins (assuming your are on a PC).

Just copy the dll's there and have fun.

And make sure you unzip them first, too. I remember the first time I used a s/w plugin and I knew absolutely nothing about zipping and unzipping

Another couple of freebie pianos that are excellent are MDA piano and MDA e-piano. Not flashy, but just good basic piano and e-piano sounds with a few of the more important features.

hmmmmmmmmmmmm....RTFM is a great tip, how on earth would anyone be so dumb as to think that downloaded plugs just magically work if you put them in "my documents"? if they are .dll's and not executables, then put them in your vst folder.
