Wave -> MIDI for Mac? Searching for WIDI or sth. like tha

Hi
A few days ago i found an advertisement about WIDI, a programm which can recognize pitches in a wave file and generate MIDI Notes out of that. So i started searching for a Mac OS pendant, but nothing found yet.
Not an VST/AU Effect even a Host will do that...any tipps?

The only OS X app I know that will do audio to midi is Melodyne from www.celemony.com , but that’s a bit steep for just this application (Melodyne can do so much more than this but it’s a bit pricy). I’m not sure the cut-down Uno version can do it and that’s still $199.

No, it’s monophonic audio only. I know there are apps on the Windows side that claim to do polyphonic audio to midi, but I’m not sure how useful they are in practice.
