I'm searching a fully functional dx-wrapper for vst-hosts. FFX 4 does not work properly. It can't receive MIDI-data so it seems ( vocoder! ). So does any of you know a good solution?

dougsyo; I think he's talkng about wrapping DX/DXi's for a host which only talks VST, rather than vice versa...

Like whyterabbyt suggested, FL hosts DXI nicely.
You can have, say, 16 different DXI instruments in one VST instance of FL and control each of them using Midi Channels 1-16. You can even do tons of insert, send effects before it even leaves the FL plugin.
The "FruityLoops" edition of FL has DXI support. The cheaper "Express" version also has DXI support, but can't be used as a plugin.
Only problem with the FL VST is that you often need to add a "count-in" to stop FL missing notes.
I usually set FL to "-4" and just shift my song in the host ahead by 1 bar (presuming it's 4/4).

I see that now. That's what I get for reading too late into the eveningwhyterabbyt wrote:dougsyo; I think he's talkng about wrapping DX/DXi's for a host which only talks VST, rather than vice versa...
Going the opposite route, I agree that FLS and Console are the only solutions I can think of.
