Can't figure it out. You push the button and everything kind of slows down for a second.

I'm also trying to figure out Laidbacker.

It didn't seem like there was any documentation with these.

Like a reel to reel tape stopping.

That's all it does.

Those little bars set the speed for the slow down and ramp up. It's nifty. I actually used it in a project, and didn't feel too stupid . . . the band liked it.

There actually is a short manual that comes with it, a readme file. Read that, experiement a bit. But if you are saying you can't figure out HOW it works, neither can I--it's magic!

I remember that one! Great fun, play with it a second...ya can't use it everywhere..kind of like vinyl, but a tape deck

When did people ever put the sound of a tape stopping and starting into a recording? Maybe the likes of Ween or even Syd Barret might benefit from such a sound inserted somewhere in their music, but...

Everything else by the maker of TbT is outstanding, but this one I still don't get.

Okay, so that settles that. What does Laidbacker do?

Try it at the end of a song to stop it...I think Prodigy did something like this to a track on Fat of the Land.

I'm thinking it's pretty subtle (as you said, so that's why I'm thinking it).

I thought that I heard what I thought was a subtle change. Or I only thought it. Either way I was much calmer about the mix afterwards.

Anyone know what TbT TapeStop does?
