hi guys,
i'm primarily using vst-effects for vocals.
right now my preferences are:
- blockfish as compressor
- classic eq
- ambience reverb as reverb
- spitfish as de-esser
what are, in your opinion, the best freeware effects to use on vocals? (the ones, that give you the best sounding results)

Search this forum for TbT plugins, DL all of them from the ftb site (if it's still up), and use them every day.anselmoso wrote:hi guys,

Personally, I don't like blockfish for vocals (great for drums though!). compressor: I prefer voxengo crunchessor or (free!) GranComp/GranComp3 from buzzroom. EQ: GlissEQ or CurveEQ from Voxengo are my favourites. Ambience is nice, you might also want to try Glaceverb (also free) or go with convolution (SIR or, more recently and commercial, PristineSpcae Light is what I use). De-esser: yes, spitfish is free and imo the best.
