On the Manytone webpage someone wrote:So once you've got ManyStation, what can you expect next from Manytone?

Most obviously, there will be more soundsets - lots more.

Volume one: hardware classics - is the first add-on which is bundled for free with ManyStation. We plan to regularly release inexpensive add-ons (the ManyMore series) covering even more real instruments.

The first ManyMore is scheduled to be an acoustic bass, multi-sampled with different microphone and pickup settings.

We also have plans to shortly release some multi-sampled mandolins as a ManyMore.

We have plans for lots of other ManyMores: we will let you have details once our plans are further advanced.
About those plans. I'm very curious to know when there's new stuff coming out for Manystation. See, I can't wait! I love it! :hyper:

Hi pekadan

We have a Fantastic New Electric Bass Pack just about ready for release. ETA .... within a week :-)

It is Awesome .... I will announce formally any day now with the New webpage and Press release etc...
It is all ready to go ... just the last minute touches being done here.

Also ... The Mandolins are currently being recorded and edited. Besides myself, I have someone else with a fantastic collection of Mandos helping here. Things like a mandolinized Domra and a Mandola. Perhaps a Kashalin. A 1910 Gibson .... etc etc. :-)

The Acoustic Bass is still being edited.

Any Day now for the New Electric Bass Pack though!
I can tell you this ... It is 13 new Soundsets showcasing Various styles of Playing. Expected Price $29.99. Besides ManyStation and Wusik format, It will also be available as Soundfont. Mp3s demos will be up very soon. The Tapping set is Incredible ....You guys will not believe the Demo was programmed ... It sounds like it was Played by a real Bassist.

Great news! Thanks for the info Paul! I'm particularly excited about the upcoming mandolins, myself. (Don't think I have any mandolin samples in my collection yet). :hyper: But the basses will be very very interesting to check out too!

Within a week... Wow! I must have felt something was just around the corner! :hihi:

Keep up the good work!

Just a total guess, but might the bass be geoffkhan's highly anticipated 'ultimate bass kit'? Specs sound very similar :D

Congrats if it is, based on the teaser's he posted, those samples will be worth every penny of $30

And the reason for that, as with the banjo, most civilized countries have banned the use of mandolins. Paul must have an offshore underground source for the mando samples.

I can hardly wait. There's nothing as tempting than illicit mandolin samples. :D

After 95 years of hard use, there were a few cracks, but five minutes with the wood filler has fixed 'em. :)

And for the domra players of the world the cold-war never ended. :D

Just had a listen to the demos - nice!

You should talk to the Rayzoon team (the people behind Jamstix) - apparantly they're working on a bass version and that could be a match made in heaven for a non-bass player like me :)

Derek.

Hi Derek
Thanks for the comments.
As it so happens we are already talking to Ralph at Rayzoon for some time on this. He plans on making Jambace as compatible as possible with all our Bass Sample stuff.
So rest assured ... technology collides :-)

You don't think I've ever actually finished anything do you

I should be ordering a new PC very soon, so allow a couple of weeks for that to come, another couple of weeks for me to load all my VST's and samples onto it, another few weeks for the school holidays to finish so I can actually get to use it when the kids aren't around and then .....

.... it'll be time to start working on my Christmas novelty hit single!

Joking apart - I really am in exploring/noodling around mode at the moment. I haven't yet learnt (to my own satisfaction) how to use the excellent tools I have available to me and need to invest some serious time in focussing on just one or two products so I can be productive. I'm thinking about only putting EnergyXT, Jamstix, Manystation and Filterscape on the new PC until I've got the hang of them - if I'm not distracted by all the other fantastic (and mainly free) VST's then maybe I'll stick with something long enough to do something with it!

Regards,

Derek.

Oh and by the way Mr B - love "Some things never change" on your website. Very much what I'm aiming for (kind of blues with a Santana-esque twist) and a lovely guitar tone to boot.

Derek.
