This seems like one of those "did you remember to plug it in?" type questions...
I just received a Spectrasonics library CD in Akai format. Being primarily a guitarist, and not privy to years of studying KB H/W, how in the heck do you load them to the PC? I thought you'd just copy them through WinExplorer like all the other sample CD's I've bought in other formats?
I have Kompakt and it can see the CD, but it doesn't seem to want to copy. I have Kontakt 2 on the way, and hopefully this will help.
I also have Extreme Sample Converter...
Is there a "better" or "best" way to take these "windows unreadable" CD's and get them into the PC so you don't have to play them from the CD directly?
Thanks all, very much, as always,
- Paul

Load them into your sampler then save then to disk? Create a folder first for the disk. then load them up and play for test. Once your sure you want that voice save it to that folder using the save function in your sampler.

Kontakt, halion ,sampletank etc have an "import akai" function which will import the sounds from the disc and create their own format instrument from the sampleset. This then resides on your hard disc with your other Kontakt instruments.
Look up" import akai" or "loading other sample formats" in your Kontakt manual and it will explain the process

The above "words" are the ramblings of a depraved megalomaniac.Any similarity to normal communication is a hallucination on the part of the reader.Replying to this post will result in your family and posessions becoming the property of funkynuts.
