Jonny X quoth speed has the auditorium, its not the best place to get listens, but you can post it there and u can direct people to it. Whats up with soundclick
Note : As of quite recently you have to be a member at the auditorium to listen to stuff hosted there.

Actually, soundclick isn't that bad, you just can't deep link.
It's a real bummer about the Auditorium, but I completely understand why it had to change. Those couple months where it didn't require login - those were the good old days.

I like SoundClick just fine, though the 'pop-ups' are getting a little annoying.
But a great community there, and just the flexibility to upload and manage tunes and pages is pretty darn sweet!
Other sites which aren't bad (no pop-ups, but then not as verstile as SoundClick...)
www.mixposure.com
www.songramp.com
www.electromancer.com
www.artistnow.com
and so on.

Soundclick at least lets you stream, but sometimes the servers can't keep up with it. Also, it generates pop-under ads. Evil!
There's still electromancer.

I agree about soundclick. It pissed me off A LOT. Use the auditorium. It's the next best thing to having your own webspace.

that pisses me off too...but it doesn't do it to people that visit your page. But go anywhere else on soundclick and forget about it...TennesseeVic wrote:Soundclick at least lets you stream, but sometimes the servers can't keep up with it. Also, it generates pop-under ads. Evil!

I like soundclick, lots of exposure, but spe3ds is great (audioshots) and funender is cool, they give you a gig I think for 5 bux a month...

But I don't mind that . . . other than a lot of people have a problem with creating online memberships and some even here won't do so to download your tracks.whyterabbyt wrote:Jonny X quoth speed has the auditorium, its not the best place to get listens, but you can post it there and u can direct people to it. The membership at audioshots's auditorium only requires you to enter your name/email/username/pword. They don't spam you and there are no pop-ups, which I absolutetly hate. They also don't bombard you with adds and moving graphics.
Soundclick does popups, adds and lots of moving graphics, which all make browsing there a royal pain in the patootie if you're on dial-up.

Can receive comments on each track and there are ranked charts for each genre according to song listens.
