I'm affiliated with Devine-Machine, so perhaps someone else could give purely unbiased feedback.
However I can still compare them, as LSR is honestly one of my top dozen or so used VSTs.
If you imagine the free version 4 times as long, and the ability to save WAV loops (autonumbered wav files with the prefix/location of your choice) without even a dialog.. this is essentially the full version.
These features are very nice for workflow, and capturing loops in the free version is a bit manic (as it is always recording on one of two).
Having 8 bars of looping input gives you time to capture your own riffs. Lord knows how many times I've done a analog synth, vocal, or guitar bit and captured the good take, once I finally nail it, in LSR a few bars later. So ultimately, I guess it depends what your "killer take" is worth to you
kidding...
