Boogex can be downloaded at http://www.voxengo.com/
This means I've decided to release Boogex as freeware VST plug-in. This allowed to leave Beamsonic impulses in the internal impulse set (I remember reading Beamsonic's original Geocities website - he explicitly allowed non-commercial use of the impulses). I've also added impulses made by Aaron Carey (with his permission).
This release version implements better dynamics - almost like in a real tube amp (beside tone, of course) - i.e. you can get that low frequency pumping - check out Metal and Chugga Chugga presets. But dynamics work best with Phase parameter at 0. With higher Phase dynamics get smoothed out.
I will continue studying this 'guitar amp' subject and if I ever find a better approach I'll release a commercial amp plug-in with a bunch of standard features (good-sounding chorus is already available, eh?). What also stopped me from going commercial is a lack of really good impulse responses sampled in a good room at different distances and angles.
