I was going to buy Fast Track USB but noticed that minimal specs says "WinXP SP1". However I run Millenium and have no intention to move to XP. The question (sorry for the obvious stupidity of it  ) is: will this thing work on my system?
Thanx to everyone who would care to answer!

Almost certainly not.

Time to ask yourself if you're a musician or an O/S fan.

Bizarre... The site also states hardware minimum of Pentium II 350 w/ 64MB RAM. I have trouble believing that setup will actually run XP.

Maybe now is the time for you to upgrade to XP ;-)The more expensive models (Audiophile USB etc.) do even run on Win98, but lack diversity of inputs. I wonder what's the catch with this device...

As an updated Franc the wedding planner would say: "Welcome to 00s Mr Franco".

The catch is obviously the price tag... As for the PII 350 minimum--that's what makes me wonder too.

Why the hell would you not want to upgrade to WinXP? WinME is the all-time worst OS Micro$oft have ever made. Seriously, XP is almost a revelation and I would say its a much better investment than a new audio interface. Man, that's a cheap device though.
