I've just updated our site and posted a brand-new VST effect called killerGATE+. I uses componenets from the latest Generation-X synths, based around the GATE effect that our synths have had for a while. It also has it's own 12/24dB/octave SV Filter, an LFO and Distortion. It may be very handy for some of you and it uses very little CPU.

There is also some information about our next synth update, NEOkILLER II, which should be available in a week or so [once we have some presets for it].

I'm just listening to Showdown - nice! I see you're a Carbon12 fan. Did you know Steve toured here with Fear Factory? He rocked up to our club with some rough mixes of Very Harsh Frequencies in 1995 or 96. We kept in touch for a while but I haven't heard from him in ages.

I'm a very large Carbon 12 fan, so much so that I went to his site and insisted he do another album! But no, he is fixed on doing music for games.

I suppose if he made more, it might sound too much the same, maybe. :(

I knew Steve had toured with Fear Factory, but I didn't know where. Back when he did that, I wasn't into the music I am now. Not even vaguely. I wasn't into pop music either, so don't worry ;). So I only found out about Carbon 12 in 2001 (I think? Or was it 2002) but I wish I'd seen it.

It's great to get a positive comment from you (Bones) in regards to Showdown, so thank you (even if it was only a couple of words!).

As for the effect, don't underestimate it. I have not (to my great frustration) been able to find a good gate effect that I found easy to use and was simple, and you have provided. I will definitely be using this whenever I need a gate effect. As for the rest of the plugin? I haven't looked into it enough yet, but it will undoubtedly come in handy.

I've all but given up on it. It really doesn't suit my needs at all. Maybe once it is feature-complete it will be more usable but the development doesn't seem to coincide with my needs at all. Its a real shame because it has so much potential if pushed in the right direction.

I just updated killerGATE+ to include a TIE function and MIDI automation. I also updated it's help page to reflect the changes.

Strangely, I'd be happier with half-a-dozen average reviews. It kind of worries me that I can only find one a month after release. But thanks anyway.

Yeah but it's a pretty tight review Bones.
I'm pretty impressed by it myself and a fairly solid rating.
I agree extra publicity would be nice.
I might recommend you too the guy's next door as your material would be right up their alley (ummmm figuratively speaking

) .
I would be lying if I didn't say it wasn't totally to my taste or liking but the material on this album holds up well IMHO and is way better than 90% of the shit serenading as "EBM" these days.
God EBM is as Cringe Worthy as IDM genre name wise.
I'd like to see a slightly softer Cabaret Voltaire twinge to what you do myself .... I think I'm getting a bit soft and fluffy in my old age
