This weekend is a busy one on the East Coast of the US. Besides Live 8 taking place today there is also the Rock-N-Divas concert near Washington DC at a very lovely Lao Buddhist Temple, Wat Lao Buddhavong
This concert will feature some of the best singers and bands from South East Asia. If you ever were curious about SE Asia rock and pop music then I urge you to check this out.

The legendary Thai socio-political-spiritual rock group Carabao will be performing Sunday July 3rd. This is their ONLY east coast stop on their US tour. I've seen these guys before and they are not to be missed, they sing in English and Thai.
This is all a part of the 14th Annual Festival at Wat Lao Buddhavong. There will be many concerts and a market fair where many Thai, Lao, Vietnamese and Cambodian foods and products can be purchased.
Wat Lao Buddhavong is located at 3043 Catlett Rd in Catlett Virgina not far from Washington DC.

Wat Lao Buddhavong is a non-profit organization that belongs spiritually to the lao buddhist community and to all its buddhists friends throught out the washington metropolitan region, all the United States, Canada and around the world who helped support the establishment of this religious institution. It is a place where the lao buddhist community and other buddhists friends gathering to express their religion and culture. Wat Lao Buddhavong is opened to all who wish to learn, experience or practice the lao expression of buddhism and culture.
