Any projection on when Rainbow 3 will be available?
Let me know if you're looking for beta testers and yes, I'm a Rainbow 2 user.

Hi guys,
R3 is coming along... If I force myself to stop adding features, I should have a release candidate around the end of the year, maybe earlier. And I'll be sure to ask you for betatesting (and patch-making)...

I'm certainly looking forward to v3 as well, make some patches, go nuts with the step sequencer, have fun....
Rainbow gets a lot of use on my tracks. Has anyone tried v2 with Angelina? Wow, I wish I had something like this when I was gigging. I don't know about others but often we'd check out the opening bands and it was always great when we had someone working ambient.
Whatever is in my brain makeup it's like a natural narcotic, I just drift off. Of course it has to be good music but everyone we gigged with was great. The combination of Rainbow and Angelina would sure would have had me tripping.
Throw in a little Cheese Machine....instant nirvana.

Ah. It's going well, have no fear. Here is http://bigtick.pastnotecut.org/audio/1oscrb3.mp3 a short example, made with only 1 oscillator (you can have up to 6 per voice).
The biggest work to be done yet is the user interface and demo patch design. I'm still confident for the end of the year, though.
Have fun,

Cool, any hints on the interface?
I really like how Angelina works although I have no idea what you have planned for Rainbow 3.
Looking forward to checking it out.

Well, its current GUI is really ugly and doesn't do it justice. But if you really want to have a preview of what I've been watching for the last 10 months... here it is:

'Tick, what's that graph for on the right-hand side? It doesn't have a label and that makes me really curious....

A waveshaper maybe
CrimsonWarlock aka TechnoGremlin, Moved to Reason and Rack Extensions exclusively (from Reaper and VSTs) several years ago.

Yes it's a waveshaper. There was already one in Rainbow2, but you couldn't edit the curve. Now you can
It's a per-osc waveshaper btw, means that you can have different waveshaping curves for all 6 oscs.
Also, all boxes have drop-down menus to select the curve being edited: waveshaping amount envelope, envelopes velocity and keyboard curves (for time/level), ...

Wow, this is looking interesting. I know the layout isn't complete but it's a good idea. Graphic envelopes, 6 oscillators, waveshapers?
Are you sure you aren't Rene's twin?
