Your opinion on drum mic options

Simple question. If you had mic mixing options for drum samples, do you think anyone finds the kick mic or snare direct mic useful for the sound of a hi hat sample? Maybe the snare mic for an off axis sound. But, the kick mic that is barely picking it up? For a real drum recording the kick mic is picking it up (unless it is gated out). But, would ANYONE find that to be desirable to have?

I don't expect to get an answer but in case someone has an opinion and understands what I am talking about...
