It's fun that each library has it's own little picture in Sampletank, but there doesnt' seem to be any for the Sonik Capsules. Any plans for that?? or are there some available I don't know about??

Post

Yeah, that feature is really cool. Instant visual feedback of the library the sound is coming from. Not very important while browsing the library and looking for a sound, but very cool 2 weeks after to know where the patch was taken from.

There ARE icons for the Sonik Capsules. They are BMP files. They have to be put into the STImages folder in your IK Multimedia SampleTank folder -OR- they can also be put where the sounds are too (or should be able to be). Try seeing if it is in either. I can upload the BMP files if for any reason you don't have them. They are nice little pictures of the instrument in the capsule bubble. Nothing too important but a nice visual reference for those that have a lot of different sounds and want to know where it came from (especially if you move sounds around).

Hi harmony gardens...

I just figured it out...

Go to your Sampletank2 folder and open the folder named "ST2 Image". Now in this folder, open the document named "images" (it's a text file ).

You should see something like this:

Acoustic Drums=AcousticDrums.bmp
Bass Collection=BassCollection.bmp
Bass Guitar=BassGuitar.bmp
Brit Horns=BritHorns.bmp
Eclectic Drum=
Electric Guitar=

All you have to do is add the correct name after the = sign, so, for example, for Eclectic Drum = , type Eclectic Drum =EclecticDrum.bmp

Now, save that document to save the changes.

Everything should work now :D 8)

PS: the only one I seem to have problems with is the Acoustic Guitar Capsule...

In the text document I typed "Acoustic Guitar=AcousticGuitar.bmp" ( there was no reference to the Acoustic Guitar capsule before, in that document ), but when I click on an Acoustic guitar capsule sound in the St2 interface, the picture for Sonik Synth 2 Acoustic guitars pops up instead of the Acoustic Guitar Capsule picture.

Thanks Pheeleep, I was able to find the file you're talking about.(Images.txt) It seems I don't have the bmp files I need for this though. I did a picture search, on each title, and came up with nothing. It isn't a big deal, but it IS sort of nice. When I did the search for "groove", I found a file named "GrooveLoops.bmp" but nothing for a Capsule. I also found the ST2Image folder, and they aren't in there, either. Are they on my original capsules disks?? I also have the Holiday Capsule disk, would they possibly be on that disk?? Otherwise, I may need to take Squids up on his offer to upload them.

In the Sampletank 2 folder, when you open the folder named "St2Image", do you see pictures in there of the capsules you bought? edit- I noticed you said you didn't see them.. hmm.. weird.. I see all the pictures of all the capsules and add ons I installed.. I can't remember though how they got in there, if I had to put them in there or if they were put in there with the installers..

Ya, for the groove capsule, it's not grooveloops.bmp, but groove.bmp

I see the picture of the Groove capsule there and "Groove" is written just below it..
No,, I have AcousticDrums, Axe, BassCollection, BeatSpeak, BritHorn, etc,,,, in fact there are images for things I don't own, but I think those were from the Expansion tank sampler download) but no Capsules. I do own all the Capsules and have the Holiday Capsule disk, and I was wondering if they might be on there somewhere.

Ya, sorry for making you repeat yourself ( you'll see I edited my post above earlier ).

I am sure Squids will help you out.

you can draw you own pictures and put them in there. :)
Or you can go to esounz.com and load down the images of the packages, convert them to bmp and use them.
Maybe you'd better make music, though.

There seems to be a conflict regarding the Acoustic Guitar capsule though. It keeps on pulling up the SS2 acoustic guitar picture instead of the capsule picture.

Really? I don't think so. I think you must have loaded an SS2 sound and it is just staying there. Or maybe not. That's odd. It's an easy fix though. We'll check it for the next update on the capsules which I think we'll do some time toward the end of next month.

Hi Squids,

The Acoustic guitar capsule BMP is named AcousticGuitar.bmp, while the SS2 version has a space between the words:
Acoustic Guitar.bmp

I did some experimenting ( temporarily removing the SS2 picture ) and when I do that, St2 just pulls up the generic ST2 logo to represent the Acoustic Guitar Capsule, instead of the correct image. It's no biggie though, but just thought I'd point it out, since all other pictures work for me.

I still haven't found the bmp's.

LOL, this is pretty trivial, I know,, but it's getting to be a matter of pride now,,, I can't find them anywhere.
