Based on what I've seen, Receptor is the most reasonable ($1400 from Sweetwater) - part of the reason why it gets more mention here (the other being that Muse owns KVR). By comparison, Plugzilla is $3000 and Openlabs OMX series starts at $1995.

Neko (and the keyboard-less OMX machines) is based on Windows XP, so you might have less compatibility issues with SOME synths, and it appears you can do some upgrades with over-the-counter parts (hard drives, etc). On the other hand, you get the other bugs^H^H^H^Hfeatures of Windows XP as well.

I love the Neko keyboard look, but it appears to be an even bigger beast than the latest-and-heaviest Roland and Korg keyboards.

Plugzilla's site seems out-of-date... for one thing, the "buy it" link points to Sweetwater, who doesn't list Plugzilla, but does list Receptor.

If I was buying one, I'd probably look at a Receptor.
