Try the brasil section at HMV or better still go to Little Brazil in NYC and hang out.

I'd be happy to lend out the vocals on this track I did for a Kvr contest (she's not Brazilian, but it is sung in Portuguese).
Beleza
What are you working on? I love Brazilian stuff.

depends what style you mean...
Brasil has a vibrant pop culture of many different genres and vocal styles
Axe (pronounced "Ash-Ey") is the predominant pop genre and you couldnt go wrong sampling Ivete Sangala, who is now a solo artist and used to be in a band called Banda Eva (who is ace live BTW).
Some of the Olodum and Ile Aye records might have some female vocals on them (the ones that i have dont).
Also if you want some "out there" female Brazilian vocals, check out some Tom Ze records - the song Parque Industrial (IIRC) has some excellent female lead singing on it.
However, if you a looking for the samaba, salsa, bossa nova stuff, just get any old CD comp from you local record store. Also, you will love them as well
I will check with my ex about great "traditional" Brazilian female vocalists and get back to you
@sintetik, what do you think of Chico Science??

VERY NICE!!!
Love the production and mix!
This is definitly crying out for some Brazilian woman (perhaps Gal Costa
).
Listening to on a chill pill now...Very nice stuff, right up my alley.
But, back to the subject, If you sampled a mixture of the following songs you could get some good vocals going on:
Elis Regina - Carinhoso
Elis Regina - Zambi
Elis Regina and Toots Thielemans - Barquinho
Gal Costa - Forca Estranha
Maria Bethania - E De Manha
Astrud Gilberto - It might as well be Spring
Just off the top of my head, but good listens nonetheless.
Now I'm gonna go check out your other songs. Peace!

You're shit is tight...Listening to "We're as one beautiful organism"
"My endless journey"....Awesome, as are all the trax so far...
"Pueblo Bonito" es muy fresca!!
"No Dia" is ripe for the dancefloors!!! Seriously, I'm about to start DJ'ing and this would be on the list (with your permission of course). Very, Very Phat!!!
"Revolution of cuicas" is very sweet! I own a cuica, but it is much larger than the one you use in this song. This needs more cuica imo!!!
"Que festa maravelhosa" is another one that is ripe for the club!!! Sweet sounds in this one, definitly got me movin'!!!
"Samba toda Noite" is cool! The name reminds me of my tune "Samba do Noite
"Vera Cruz" is o so sweet!!! I love your stuff man!!! Make sure to tell Stefano as well!!
