Anybody using MySpace? (NIN remix)

I made a new profile yesterday (in the NIN remix section) and when I try to upload my remix (mp3 - 128 Kbps), I get a 'Page not found' with title bar '500 - Internal Server Error' (at the end of my upload).

I've already tried uploading several times, but it's no use. I also looked all over the MySpace site, but there is no mention of such a problem.

Did someone have the same experience? :help: Or am I just stupid? :hihi:

Thanks,

Peter.

OK, it was the second option  , there can be no spaces in the file name.

If anyone wants to listen, you can find my NIN remix HERE

Glad you were able to get your profile sorted! ...I thought I was the only one that had any trouble with the nin/myspace thing!
Really liked your mix!

Wow, that's a great version, you added some nice synth lines and rhythms! I only used the original samples. I'm working on an Electro version now, so I'll also add more of my own stuff.

I've downloaded your remix so I can take a listen tomorrow on my monitors (I'm on a laptop right now, almost no bass).

Hear ya!

thanks very much for the kind words! (...it does have a bottom end, too :D )
Yeah- you used much more of a *purist* approach, which in my belief, is much harder... that approach reminds me of the first "mixdown" contests that I was part of; in 1999, I used to frequent a samples newsgroup (alt.binaries.samples.music....I think. it's been a LONG time :hihi: )
Anyway- we'd all upload interesting sounds and one of us would make a "sample pack" from no more than 10 of the uploaded sounds. From those 10 sounds we had to create our entry. No synths, voice or guitar allowed. Only the sounds in the sample pack! No one really had a sw sampler at that time and most of us were using ACID 2 or 3 and DAE's (wavelab,SF,cool edit)...it really was kind of cool to see the diversity of what was created from the same set of sounds.
this remix dealy is a little like that, but the cool thing here is that there are really NO constraints (at least, I didn't see anything in the rules that forbid one from using outside sources!)

I'll shut up for now, but I can't wait to hear the electro version (BTW- if you've never used the soniccharge microtonic, you might want to dl the demo before you get too far on your electro version. 2.0 is REALLY nice!)

Thanks for the kind words! Did you also do a remix?

I've finished my NIN Electro remix! Nothing too fancy, I just added a bassline, a TR808 and some filter FX. You can check it out HERE

Peter- this is the best one I've heard yet. It's better than the original. Way better. I don't know whether to be inspired or just stop working on the other versions I'm cooking...
Frank Tovey would surely be proud.

Love the Electro mix! I'm also having a crack at Only at the moment but don't have anything to post yet.

Seeing the mention of NIN and remixes that use mainly the original material, I'd like to present my remix of The Hand That Feeds which was made using the files put out a few months back.

Other than the original samples it uses mainly Stylus RMX, Vanguard, CamelPhat3 and CamelSpace. It doesn't really deviate from the original structure much but I like listening to it in my car...

This is the first track that I've put online and the mix probably isn't all that great but if you like you can download it from HERE.
