Would like some comments on our IYTTIW modified trumpet sample set or its MP3 demos. I'm still very fond of it but it's the set that got the least comments of all the ones we released. I will briefly state again the artistic concept behind this one: short sounds only for (step-)sequencing, keyboard runs and stabbing chords.

Have I hit the mark or not? So for convenience sake, I'm putting all the related links in a single post.

I like those demos, the 1st and percussion ones especialy. Not really my cup of tea but well done, maybe one showing more traditional melody.

I'll be working on some audio demos and presets that make use of more traditional melodies with this set.

Daniel, i really like the demos...very odd...but enjoyable.

By the way daniel, i've almost completed the work on the horns volume 3 presetes....for real this time! ; )

i'll be sending them over soon.

Thanks and here's a more traditional one, Bach's Two parts Invention #13 with the program "Going Bassoon": Bach

Listenned to the demos... the percussion demo is better, more musical somehow, but to be honest I don't really know how I could fit these sounds in my music. I like experimental stuff but these sounds would need more processing & a better production in my opinion.

Good luck!

Thanks for your comments SampleScience, of course I would have preferred that you like it, but that's life.

Have you downloaded and tried the demo sample set? or just listened to the MP3s?

I'm a little surprised by this last part of your comment. Except for the percussions, everything else is made from trumpet samples and some are already processed beyond recognition.

I'll try the demo sample set & tell you my feelings about it.

Ok, tried the sfz version...& to be honest it doesn't fit in my music at all, even with effects... these sound are really different from the standart stuff that I'm used to, I don't really know how I could use them musically, I've tried to arp them with poor results... I can't really see the use unless you're into abstract experimental music & you're looking for a shortcut to have weird sounds (buying these so you don't have to record & modified them yourself).

Thanks again for having taken the time to try the set and posting your comments.

My intention was to design something different...

...and weird. Of course doing that is like taking a bet. There's no middle groud.

I just went through them on wusikstation, At 1st I thought well these weird little bleapy sounds won't be very usefull but after playing around abit they gave me some ideas and I could see myself using them in a track.favorites are:maelstrom 01,30s synth, going flat, harmonic
I don't feel compelled to buy them though, maybe moneys too tight but most of the samples I'm after are electric or vintage instruments. The demos are a nice freebie though, thanks
