Recently acclaimed author Simon Cann translated and updated the "Sample This!", an eBook from us, and it provides a lot of the know how we´ve collected through several years of making professional samples. You might visit this page http://www.backintimerecords.de/bitr037.htm for details. There is even a step-by-step example for sampling acoustic instruments and piano, as you´ve asked especially for this.

Lovesign is right with his US$ > EUR calculation. And surely there are the shipping costs. Actually there are two CDs included. One is for own experiments (audio), the second is to view (and use) a formatted piece with multisample mapping, envelope setting etc. (akai S1000 format). Although commercial samples are a good buy in most cases, the knowledge how to make them right or do some own for your personal music pieces is far more worth than a few US$ for "Sample This!".
