Announced at Namm, Gigapulse as VST. Hopefully it should be at a reasonable price in comparison to Waves etc.

I'm ticked because I think this should be free to GS3-O owners. I actually misinterpreted and thought you could use the original Gigapulse as a VST instance before I decided to go for GS3-O. I think for the extra money we spent over the cheaper GS3 versions they should give us GP to use in our workstations as well as GS.
Just my gripey $.02.

FWIW, I received this reply this morning from Tascam regarding the ship date:
Hello David,
Fortunately, GigaPulse is still going to be released as an independent product. We are scheduled to start shipping 7/27/05. Please see our press release for the Summer NAMM show for more information http://www.tascam.com/Press/Releases/GigaPulseVST.html.
Thank You,

By the way, can anyone confirm that Gigapulse will ship with its own impulse library? I just assumed that it would, but reading the NAMM announcement closely, it only says that "impulse libraries will be available from Tascam", which almost seems to suggest that it doesn't actually ship with content.

The price at Sweetwater is $249, btw. Although they've listed it at that price for over a year now while the product has been vaporware, so I'm 100% sure that it will necessarily hold now that it's actually shipping.
