I've had a look at voxengo crunchessor, but I'm not sure I like its "semi-automatic" nature. What are the best compressors with sidechain input for native PC? And also, do the UAD or TC cards come with sidechaining comps?

Kjaerhus GUP-1 has sidechaining and is my preferred comp. I wouldn't say it's "the best" as that's personal taste, but I find it adds character as well as being a competent compressor. It's the closest native one to a decent VCA h/w comp I've tried yet.
I've not tried the GAC either...possibly that has sidechaining?
OtiumFX Compadre Beatpuncher has sidechaining. Another character one. Designed more with drums in mind, but will work well with other material (I'm not sure I'd want to use it as a master comp). It also is a bit more off the wall and experimental - it has waveshaping as an option, and when you set it to waveshaping and get it pumping, it can really scream - quite an unusual compressor well worth the money.
Can't think of any others off the top of my head. BG labs (or something similar) released a sidechain on its own.
There was a sidechain on the old TC native v3 pack.
And you can do sidechaining within DB Audio QuantumFX (apparently to be made alot more straight forward with the soon-to-be-released v2.)
Dunno about UAD and TC...I've yet to delve into the DSP card world - one day soon though, a UAD will be mine. I've heard so many good things about the dynamics plugins that I can't hold out much longer. And the EMT plate just has to be had.
