Hi. I just bought BFD 1.0.10.21 and I'm running Performer 4.6 on a 1.5 gHz Powerbook with 1 gig of RAM. I had some difficulty installing BFD, because it couldn't find the data folder, even if I chose the folder that it was in....hmmm.
But somehow that straightened itself out.
Then I couldn't get all the outputs to work, until I discovered the BFD Rewire Applet program wasn't set up for "all outputs". Now it is, and "allow Rewire device" is set to "on". So long as I use BFD as a stand a lone, it works great. But, I still can't seem to get any outputs other than the "overheads" to work while in Performer, even though I am adding an instance of BFD "all outputs". I 'm aware of the problems with multi-outputs before Performer 4.6, so I suppose I've set something incorrectly. Does anyone have a clue as to what I've done wrong?
I love this program. The drum sounds are stellar. But, I really need to figure out whats wrong with my Performer set up. Any help will be most appreciated!

So you are going up to the Project menu and adding a virtual instrument? Or are you using AUX tracks and adding in BFD via rewire? I guess the easiest way to add in a multi out BFD now with DP 4.6 is go to the Project menu, virtual intrument, add multiple/unassigned and add in the number of outs you want with BFD I think with BFD ALL it uses something like 15 or 16 channels, but that's in the BFD manual. And just make sure that all your BFD channels are going to the same output or bus at first, so that you can make sure that you can hear everything.

Hope it helps,

Wayne

Thanks Wayne, I have been adding BFD via Projects/add tracks/virtural inst./BFD all outs stereo. But, admitedly I'm in the dark about assigning the outputs. That may be the problem. I'm not sure where I do that, either in BFD, or in Performer's virtual mixer? (I don't have a hardware mixer) I will read up on that, and see if that's where I've been going wrong. Again, thanks for the advice...

I'll do a search, and check it out. I've made some progress, and gotten all the groups to work, but I'll continue to check it out. Thanks a lot, Wayne!
