I am telling you, people LOVE T-Racks. If you don't have it you are missing out. I use it all the time. It's so useful for both mastering and mixing. The mixing part is where some people forget that it is really 5 high end plug-ins in one. It can really add a great touch to your music if you aren't using something like this for mastering and mixing.

Anyone use ProTools? I was reading the Trent Reznor article recently and it was funny to see what he said about T-Racks. I agree that it is... well, what he said.
If anyone has it check it out. It's funny.

"They also deployed IK Multimedia’s T-RackS. “I think the T-RackS stuff is excellent,” says Reznor. “It sounds f&#%ing great.

Say, you guys don't really like T-Racks do you...

I'd love to have a chance to really play with it -- always hearing great things about it. I'm just using the native plugs in Audition, but it leaves most of my mixes lacking I think.

I like T-racks and use it a lot, both for mastering and even in normal mixing.
Saw the VENUE console at PLASA last year. Interesting demo they did.

Mastering Engineers and commercial producers loooove to bash T-Racks and Ozone.
Personally I've tried to dislike it and will probably continue to pay a pro, but it does sound very good. I bought the standalone and like to mess with it sometimes.
In fact the only two artists I've emailed to ask what their stuff was mastered with (one was http://www.olavbasoski.nl/)- or by who - they said "T-Racks".
It annihilates Ozone imho.

it annihilates Ozone, wha wah wah... (in a condescending mocking voice)
I've always wanted to give T Racks a go, but never got around to it really. With all my 'clean' processing effects, it would be nice to have something that can add a bit of 'colour' to the mix. Currently all my needs are met with various and sundry plugs from all over the place (PSP, Voxengo, uhm, Ozone

Seriously, I wish people like him wouldnt sell out to these articles. That album was mixed on a f**king SSL from PT. Yet Digi love to insinuate that it was mostly in the box... right!

Nine Inch Nails, Remco. Hey even I know that.
I love the Tracks plugins. I also love the EAS plugins, iZotope Ozone and the PSP Audio processors as well. Each has their application.
Best,
Gordon

Yeah, load up "The Hand That Feeds" in a waveform editor and behold the new poster child for the epedemic of overcompression. Of course for his style of music it kinda makes sense to be in your face like that.
