Ok folks....
Think... Seargent Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band - The Beatles
... The Wall - Pink Floyd
... 1999 - Prince
We're not talking about your ordinary average everyday release. The afore mentioned albums are examples of what I'm referring to.
What album of electronic music can be said to hold the same stature as these classic recordings?
Bring it!

I love Maddona's "Ray of Light". Willaim Orbit produced it, at it is flawless in it's execution. I am not a big Maddona fan either, but good is good, and Ray of Light is amazing.

1. ' A million miles from home' by Pete Namlook from the 'From Within' CD.
Psychedelic trip of the highest order. Brings me back to some of the better early Tangerine Dream CDs.
2. Zoolook ( the track, not the whole CD) by Jarre. Pure sampling magic, great music, structure and fab sounds.
3. Oxygene by Jarre.

I'm old...I'm thinking Frank Zappa or Gary Numan when you think of groundbreaking, ahead of it's time...like sgt pepper's...
The highest form of knowledge is empathy, for it requires us to suspend our egos and live in another's world. It requires profound, purpose‐larger‐than‐the‐self kind of understanding.

A classic for sure! the cleanlyness and the dirt just melts together to make a very good album..Ray of Light with madonna is also a very good album...these two would have to be the better ones!Chase wrote: sasha - airdrawndagger

Tangerine Dream 'Zeit'
Kraftwerk 'Radio-Aktivitat'
Throbbing Gristle '2nd Annual Report'
Whitehouse 'Erector' and 'New Britain'
Maurizio Bianchi 'Endometrio' and 'Carcinosi'
Ramleh 'Awake'
Merzbow 'Rainbow Electronics', 'Music For Bondage Performance', 'Space Metallizer', 'Pulse Demon', '1930'
Laibach 'Krst Pod Triglavom'
Arcane Device 'Also Sprach Zarathustra'
Coil 'Music to play in the dark' (vols 1+2)
Short list, leaving off purely electroacoustic and concrete stuff, which would otherwise dominate my list of classics.
