hehe nice one vurt, i think i was down at the front top-off dancing like a loon... jeez, i saw the orb there so many times... but what appealed to me more was Sun Electric n Juno Reactor. It was just pure flowing somehow. You get old and think wow, best night i ever had has happened... that may well have been it.
Happy hugging

i went late on to the brudenell one and saw the last four bands.
The two typical noise guys seemed to be men in the throws of painful masturbation sessions, although they were using some pretty interesting techniques of sound generation.
EMIL BEAULIEAU ( America's Greatest Living Noise Artist ) was well funny
no electronics at all, just lots of a capella whoops and screetches.
BUT!! he told a joke about someone called masami, so i guess it is the one and only joke about merzbow ever made
Jessica Rylan was incredible
She did three songs, the first an a capella about dogs and the last an a capella about finding love in a wishing well. a lovely lovely voice
, bit like a showbiz suzanne vega.
But her second song was sung through an custom synth that annihilated her voice into granular glitches, feedback, speaker hum, throbbing noises, and echoy artifacts
absolutly incredible

apparently i had met this guy at a party once, and hes into max/msp, so it was a bit of a geeky night all told - engergyXT and max talk

He's 18 now, known him since he was about 15. I'm still amazed at what he's done with so little gear. Guess all you need is that 'something'.
Apparently he went down really well. To qote a MSN chat a few hours ago:
"The wire gave an awesome review of our show. Something like "showed utter disdain for the audience. Large festivals should book this guy"
Gave me a listen to a new track, erm, different, more like his old stuff than 'Handwriting'.
LOL, old stuff! When he was 15
