Hit Crate

Hit Crate is an audio sample browser optimized for sorting through one shot samples efficiently. Through the use of tonal balance sliders, similarity searching, and LUFS normalized playback, you can find the sample you are looking for quicker than ever.

Features:

Playback is normalized based on LUFS readings per sample. Clip protection is also enabled so that samples will playback at the specified LUFS value but not exceed 0dbfs.

The 'dark - bright' slider will sort your keyword search to find the samples with a dominant frequency nearest to the slider position. Ex.) If the slider is all the way to right and your search is "kick", it will show you your brightest kicks in your library.

As of v1.0.5, the brightness slider can be toggled to sort by stereo width instead.

Folders can be navigate using the sidebar on the left side to search inside your selected folder only. (All filtering and keyword searches will be filtered by your selected folder).

The frequency button when enabled impacts the "find similar" function by filtering your results to only matches that are deeply related in their frequency distribution, amplitude, and transient content.

The stereo button impacts the behavior of the "find similar" function. If this is enabled and the frequency filter is disabled, Hit Crate will find all sounds that are nearest in stereo width to the sound you have selected.

The favorites button filters your current keyword / tonal balance slider search to show only your favorited samples.
