Plughugger has released Neon City for u-he Repro, describing it as "the spiritual sequel to Future Sound of Retro 80s Pop — a return ticket to the decade when analog synthesizers ruled the airwaves and pop music shimmered with optimism".
This time, Plughugger left the modern world behind and went all-in on 1980s authenticity: lush analog pads, brassy polysynths, warm basses and glowing leads drenched in neon nostalgia.
Built entirely on the analog heart of u-he Repro, Neon City captures the vibrant palette of the era, focusing mainly on synths, pads and bass for Repro-5, while also including a collection of ready-to-use sequences for Repro-1.
The soundset contains 186 sounds divided into the following categories:
