Arboretum Ray Gun Pro DX v3.0 released

-
Arboretum Systems

Ray Gun Pro 3.0 DirectX effect, the Pro version of Arboretum's Noise Zapper, is now available.

Ray Gun Pro cleans up scratchy vinyl's pops and clicks, hum, rumble, tape hiss, noisy dialog, HVAC noise and any track with poor sonic quality, leaving your original sound intact.

Ray Gun Pro DX now includes a new noise reduction engine with attack and decay sliders for better tuning of speech, percussion, and sustained sounds. 'Noise prints' presets allow users to select a noise filter for specific audio problems, and the noise equalizer now offers low, mid, and high threshold sliders to raise or lower the noise threshold in one of the three bands relative to the global noise threshold.

Ray Gun Pro DX also has improved hum and rumble filters with fine tuning of frequency and sensitivity to thoroughly eliminate ground loop or other AC interferences.

The rumble filter now has a frequency slider to tune it to the rumble noise, and a peak slider is used for adding a bit of low boost at the cutoff frequency, to compensate for the removal of the low end.

Ray Gun Pro DX parameter changes can now be automated within host programs supporting automation features under Windows XP and DirectX.

Ray Gun Pro is faithful to its 'Point and Shoot' tradition: It remains as easy to use as in its original "classic" edition, only that you now get the most advanced audio cleaning tool in that price range, widely used by hobbyists and professionals alike!

Ray Gun Pro costs $149 USD; Upgrade from Ray Gun DX 2.0 is $29; Upgrade from Ray Gun Stand Alone Windows is $49.
