artcode has released a collection of three virtual instruments: artcode Drum, artcode Bass, and artcode SYNTH. These plugins are built using the nih-plug (Rust) framework, supporting real-time audio processing on Windows, macOS, and Linux.
artcode Drum is an analog drum synthesizer that generates sounds using additive and subtractive synthesis without the use of samples. It features 10 drum sounds, including Kick, Snare, Clap, and Hi-Hats, with dedicated parameters for each, such as "Click" and "Drive" for the Kick sound. It includes built-in Delay, Reverb, and a Master section with compression.
artcode Bass is a monophonic synthesizer specialized for low-frequency sound design. It features dual oscillators, an 8-voice unison mode, and a dedicated Sub Oscillator. The plugin includes a state-variable filter with four selectable drive types (Soft, Hard, Tube, and Fuzz) and a DAW-synced arpeggiator.
artcode SYNTH is a 16-voice polyphonic synthesizer inspired by classic analog hardware. It offers dual oscillators with four waveforms, a global LFO with three modulation targets, and an integrated effects section. The plugin comes with a library of over 50 factory presets covering various categories such as Leads, Pads, and Keys.
All three plugins support sample rates from 44.1kHz to 192kHz and are available in VST3 and CLAP formats.
