NAMM 2025Arturia Announces v2.0 Firmware for AudioFuse 16Rig

Arturia has announced a major firmware update for its AudioFuse 16Rig audio interface, introducing a comprehensive immersive monitoring system and a host of user-requested enhancements. Version 2.0 of AudioFuse 16Rig equips users to work in immersive music production for film, gaming, and other spatial audio projects.
Immersive Monitoring Capabilities
The update allows for intricate control over speaker configurations, supporting up to 16 channels. Users can design setups in formats like Dolby Atmos (up to 9.1.6), Auro-3D, and various surround configurations, or define custom layouts to match their specific needs. Each speaker can be individually calibrated with adjustable volume, time alignment (up to 20ms delay), and bass management with selectable crossover points.
Workflow and Usability Improvements
Arturia has also focused on refining the user experience with this update. Some key additions include:
- Auto-Restart: The interface now automatically restarts after a power cut, a convenient feature for rack-mounted setups.
- Monitor Knob Lock: Prevents accidental volume changes, useful when using external mixers or controllers.
- Reference Level Reset: Allows users to quickly recall a calibrated listening level, essential for maintaining consistent loudness in film and TV production.
- Expanded Mute Options: Offers more flexibility in muting outputs, either selectively or globally.
Additional Enhancements
Further improvements include a faster shutdown process, pop-up messages on the hardware display for clear notifications, and more PPQN options for the clock output to enhance synchronization with external devices.
