Codwaves has released WaveBalance, an intelligent auto gain staging plugin designed to keep tracks at a consistent operating level using transparent loudness analysis and ultra-smooth gain control.
WaveBalance helps compressors, EQs, saturators, tape plugins, and analog-modelled processors behave more predictably by stabilizing the level before the next plugin in the chain. It is designed for vocals, live instruments, bass, imported stems, sample packs, busses, and larger mixing sessions.
Use Ride Mode for continuous real-time level control on dynamic sources, or Analyze & Hold to analyze a section of audio, lock the correction, and continue mixing with fixed gain staging.
Features
-

- Multiple Detection Modes: Choose between dBFS, VU, RMS, LUFS-M, LUFS-S, and LUFS-I depending on the workflow.
- Plugin Chain Consistency: Helps compressors, EQs, saturators, tape plugins, and analog-modelled processors react more predictably.
- Grouping Support: Link multiple WaveBalance instances and manage related tracks from a shared target/group workflow.
