Iceberg Audio have released The Sub, a new virtual instrument for sub bass. Here's what they say:
The instrument was designed and developed by Producer/Sound Designer Davide Gubitoso (Spinnin' Records, Sounds of KSHMR Vol 1/2/3, The Golden Army) and Developer Philip Mackenzie (Reality Decks VR DJing).
Gubitoso and Mackenzie spent a year researching, developing and refining the plugin. Gubitoso programmed and sampled an extensive range of digital and analogue sources. He then refined this set down to a minimal set of samples that cover the breath of sub bass. Mackenzie then built a signal processing engine completely tailored to the sub bass sample set including custom algorithms for drive and layering of attack profiles. The result is a unique sounding instrument that reduces the need for post processing.
The Sub is designed to be a minimal, intuitive instrument and presented on a clutter free modern interface.
The variety of sound sources enables an extensive range of presets covering every genre. This video demonstrates a range of uses from dance to soundtracks/film.
Intro Price: $39 from the Iceberg Audio Website until 19th October, 2020 (Reg. $59).
A 14 day fully featured trial version is available.
The audio demo covers the dance genres and demonstrates the potential use across hip hop, trance, tech house, reggaeton, future bass and drum & bass.
