MIntavalla has reached version 1.2.1. The most important update is the naming of altered or enharmonic notes which was wrong in first release version. Now there are two main options:
- an automatic detection, which draws its parameters from the very first chord that also determines the tonal center. The automatic detection can be activeted in File->Settings->Display->Nomenclature by checking "Determine automatically"
- a fixed list: #, b, #/b or * with the latter meaning "I don't care";).
On another topic: I've had one user claiming his Antivirus had quarantined the MIntavalla installer because of a virus. I offered help to solve this problem and then I never heard from him again which is the reason I removed the discussion. Since the MIntavalla installer along with the complete source code of this program is hosted on Sourceforge and Sourceforge does scan all files it hosts for viruses and malware I have no idea what went wrong on this users end. Maybe his computer is infected, maybe he used a toxic link, just guessing. I test each new installer myself on a second computer by downloading and installing it from Sourceforge and I've had no virus alerts up to now.
