MixBrain v2.0.1 is now available
AudioBrain has released MixBrain v2.0.1, a feedback-based update to the multi-track mix preparation plugin system.
MixBrain is a VST3 / AU plugin system built around Master and Node plugins.
The idea is not to create a finished mix with one click.
Instead, MixBrain helps users prepare a mix by comparing track-level Node information with the full mix arriving at Master, then suggesting small corrective moves across the session.
v2.0.1 focuses on real-session usability improvements based on early user feedback.
Main changes in v2.0.1:
Improved Node readout behavior.
More stable analyzed readouts instead of constantly moving live values.
Reduced visual fatigue when reading analysis and compressor values.
Improved Compressor suggestion variation between Nodes.
Improved Saturation / Tape suggestion variation.
Improved Transient suggestion behavior.
Fixed remaining Japanese text appearing in EN mode.
Improved English report readability.
Small UI wording and workflow refinements.
This update is especially focused on making MixBrain easier to evaluate during real mixing work.
Early feedback showed that the EQ suggestions were working well, but some readouts felt too busy, and some compressor / saturation suggestions could appear too similar between tracks. v2.0.1 addresses those areas.
MixBrain remains a mix-preparation tool, not a black-box auto-mixer.
The goal is to help users find masking, low-end buildup, harshness, track conflicts, and better starting points before detailed manual mixing.
