Orchestral Tools releases Benjamin Wallfisch Strings Collections

Orchestral Tools

Orchestral Tools has released Benjamin Wallfisch Strings, their new collection of sampled strings, in collaboration with Hollywood composer Benjamin Wallfisch. Known for his work on films like "Blade Runner 2049", "IT Parts 1 and 2", and "The Flash", Wallfisch's expertise in blending traditional orchestral sounds with modern elements is evident in this new offering. This release also includes Stringscapes by Benjamin Wallfisch, which delves into experimental string textures and effects.

Wallfisch shared his vision behind the project, stating:

For the longest time, I've wanted a tool that captures the magic of what it's like to stand in front of a string orchestra—and puts that at your fingertips in a digital instrument. With this library, I want people to feel like they're sitting in front of musicians the whole time.

This collaboration with Orchestral Tools aims to achieve an unprecedented level of detail and control in a digital string instrument.

Benjamin Wallfisch Strings features true divisi for all sections, five dynamic layers, and a choice of upbow or downbow strokes, elevating the realism and control for the user. The collection was recorded at the Teldex Scoring Stage in Berlin, offering loopless, long-note sustains and a consistent, natural sound.

Stringscapes by Benjamin Wallfisch offers 79 patches divided into evolving acoustic performances and complex processed patches, blending live orchestral textures with electronic elements to create unique sounds ranging from ethereal moods to eerie atmospheres.

Benjamin Wallfisch Strings is truly a leap ahead for professional string libraries and offers a level of sound quality and expressive control that sets a new standard for sampled instruments. We are incredibly proud to partner with Ben on this project and create a compositional tool kit that can elevate contemporary scoring, and inspire Hollywood A-listers just as well as the next generation of composers.

Orchestral Tools CEO Hendrik Schwarzer.

Both collections are currently available as a bundle for an introductory price of €699, a savings from the €1,048 regular price if purchased separately. Additionally, "Benjamin Wallfisch Strings" is available on sale for €599 (usually €799) and "Stringscapes by Benjamin Wallfisch" for €179 (regularly €249).

These offers are valid until Tuesday, January 2, 2024 from Orchestral Tools.
